The endearing, little fierce “beoutch”, Christian Siriano, winner of last season’s Project Runway, has finally launched his long-awaited clothing line at Bluefly.com.

He’s only 22, yet the kid IS talented. He’s got a highly-developed designer’s eye, a distinct & audacious creative vision and the exceptional technical skills to bring his exquisite designs to life. (I’m an FIT alum and I have never seen someone sew that fast!)

Yes, he definitely has talent to spare…and he knows it. His elevated self-confidence along with the accompanying self-glorifying remarks and his harsh critiques of fellow competitors definitely made Project Runway 4 some Tivo-worthy programming. Yet, at times you just wanted to send Christian to the corner for a time out. Which doesn’t mean we love him any less. I think we all agree that he is indeed F-I-E-R-C-E.

But is he as fierce as he thinks he is? Hmmmm. Some apparently think so: His collection at Bluefly.com is already close to selling out. Still, I have to admit I’m not loving this collection. I think the black separates are a tad bit overpriced and are just not that desirable. I already own similar items and I know that comparable pieces can be found in stores for half the price.

Maybe I’ll like the next collection. I plan to follow Christian Siriano and would love to strut in some of his fiercer pieces one day. Until then, I’m heading over to check out what’s up with Jillian Lewis, one of the other two finalists that season. Can’t wait for her to launch a collection! I wanted to grab almost everything the models had on during her fashion week runway show.

Oh, yeah. That’s why I voted for her last season.
